Big Sky Living is proud to call Norfolk its home as it has so much to offer as a place to live. Norwich prides itself in the tasteful integration of its historic buildings with contemporary city centre design. It boasts two cathedrals – one Protestant and one Catholic – a castle that dominates the city centre, a number of medieval cobbled streets including the famous Elm Hill and Norwich Lanes.

The Forum is an acclaimed centrepiece of a building that houses the library, the BBC, several eateries and it’s the location for many arts, crafts and food markets. Norwich City’s home ground Carrow Road is just 10 minutes’ walk from the city centre close to the railway station and the Riverside retail and entertainment development.

Chantry Place has been recognised as one of the best shopping malls in the country boasting brands such as Apple, Levi’s and House of Fraser. Norwich also has its own charming department store Jarrold’s which is a real favourite with the people of the city. As well as the usual big chains, Norwich is proud of its numerous independent retailers and restaurants.

Norwich offers its residents great employment prospects with large organistions such as Aviva, Marsh and Norwich Research Park making it their home. It’s also a great centre for education with Norwich City College (part of Anglia Ruskin University), Norwich university of the Arts and the University of East Anglia.

The Norfolk area

Norfolk is well known as a county offering people a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Whether it’s National Trust stately homes, thriving market towns or the peace and quiet of a stroll along the beach, Norfolk has it all.

Norfolk enjoys a very pleasant climate being the driest county in the UK and has one of the highest life expectancies in the country. Being low-lying – there aren’t any mountains or big hills – it means it’s a great place for cycling, running and walking. And if all that exercise makes you hungry and thirsty there are so many charming pubs dotted around the villages and hamlets of Norfolk that you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Buying your next home from Big Sky Living not only gets you a beautiful property, it gives you a fantastic location to live in. So much so that when you buy a Big Sky Living you’ll soon realise it’s more than just a home, it’s way of life.
